UCC I Sales (Art. 2)
This course takes a problem-solving approach to commercial and consumer transactions involving sales of goods. The basic substantive law is Article 2 of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC). Also covered are aspects of the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, UCC Article 2A on leases of goods, and the proposed Uniform Computer Information Transactions Act (UCITA) on software and information contracts. For comparative purposes, elements of the Convention on International Sales of Goods and real estate sales law will be studied, too.
